A Big ‘Thank-You’ to Sandor

Sandor Nagy

We want to give a ‘shout-out’ to Sandor Nagy from Budapest, Hungary. Sandor translated every simulation–all 101 of them–AND the website into Hungarian for us. He’s also helped us improve our sims, by not only finding issues but also suggesting improvements. Thanks Sandor!

Updated Greenhouse Effect Sim

Greenhouse Effect

We just published an updated version of the Greenhouse Effect. In this version, we restored cloud reflection and ice reflection features. (Thanks to the user who reported this bug!) You can now see how clouds and ice influence the amount of sunlight reaching the surface. We also fixed a control-panel layout issue occuring in the Japanese translation.

Entire Website is Translatable

Among the many improvements we’ve been making, the entire website — not just the sims — is now translatable. This makes it easier for our many international users who make up 34% of all users. The top countries other than the US are Canada, UK, Brazil, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands. Thanks everyone for playing on PhET.
