Career Girls Role Model Leads Fight Against Ebola
With the Ebola virus dominating the news lately, we are so proud to highlight the work of Career Girls Role Model and Structural Biologist, Erica Ollmann Saphire, Ph.D. Erica leads a team of international experts from her San Diego research laboratory at the Scripps Institute of Research in the race to develop a cure for the deadly Ebola virus. One important discovery they’ve already made was uncovering how the virus proteins not only fold, but can take on new shapes much the way “Transformers” do in the movies.
