Meet the New Members of Our Board
Career Girls is delighted to welcome the newest members of our Board of Directors!
Kelly Clark, Middle School Teacher at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy for the San Francisco Unified School District. Kelly is a recipient of the Mayor’s 2014 Teacher of the Year Award.
Shiree Dyson, Director of Programs at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD). Shiree brings a vast network and practical experience from the nonprofit world.
Beverly Thompson, Senior Scientist at Leidos (formerly SAIC) in Washington DC. As an accomplished scientist, Beverley brings real world wisdom to support our efforts to encourage girls to consider careers in STEM. She's also one of our very first and favorite Career Girls Role Models.
We are thrilled to have this influx of knowledge, expertise and guidance as we continue to advance our mission of girls’ education and empowerment.
Our team in the office is growing too! We’ve added Taylor Birrell as our Blog Content Editor and Social Media Director, and Sinead McGill as our Video Editor. We are so thankful for their valuable contributions.
It’s been an exciting year for Career Girls - the expansion of our board, new team members, achieving 501(c)3 nonprofit status, official trademark protection, impactful collaborations, and the continued growth of our amazing group of role models willing to share their valuable insights with girls around the globe.
Again, a big thank you to everyone!
