About Career Girls®
Inspire. Educate. Empower.
The mission of Career Girls is for all girls to reach their full potential and discover their own path to empowerment through access to inspiring career role models and supportive girl-centric curriculum.
CareerGirls.org is a video-based career exploration tool for girls, with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers. It’s free to use and free of commercials. Our collection includes over 7,000 video clips featuring more than 400 women role models. These successful women work in different careers—ranging from astronaut to musician to veterinarian—all over the United States.
If you’re thinking about a specific career… or simply wondering what might be out there for you… CareerGirls.org is the place to be. This is a safe zone where you can come and discover new possibilities for your future. What you won’t find: ads or someone trying to sell you something.
CareerGirls.org is unique. It provides inspirational and educational videos of real women who have made it in their chosen fields—and combines these videos with other useful tools for both girls and educators.
We have the largest online collection of career guidance videos focusing exclusively on diverse and accomplished women, over 130 of whom are in STEM fields—and we add to it weekly. In their own words, real-world women describe their individual careers, explain their educational paths, share personal stories and offer advice just for you.
- Informative video clips show what our role models’ careers are all about.
- Fact sheets that answer an important—but often overlooked—question about each specific career: “How do I get there myself?”
- And, we offer lesson plans for educators.
Our role models believe in the unique, nonprofit Career Girls cause and participate without pay. They volunteer their time to share inspirational—and practical stories—about their careers to benefit girls all over the country and around the world.
Career Girls helps girls explore career options in a practical way while encouraging them to dream big about their futures.
