Our Privacy Policy: No Advertising, No Sales and a Safe Site for Children

This website is owned and operated by Career Girls, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in San Francisco, California. Our online properties include all pages found under the www.CareerGirls.org website.

Career Girls is committed to respecting and protecting our visitors’ privacy. Our purpose is to help children, parents, educators and others have a positive experience using our website.

This Privacy Policy shares our rules on collecting, protecting and using information you provide or we collect online. It also explains how we protect children’s privacy. By using pages on this website or other services (such as linking to our videos on other websites) covered by the posted Privacy Policy, you are accepting the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Information Collection:

Personally Identifiable Information

At our CareerGirls.org website, you are not required to register or provide information to us in order to view our site. We do not collect any personally identifiable information from individuals—children or adults—visiting our site. Visitors can voluntarily submit an email message to us through our Career Girls “Contact Us” web page. On that page, we ask the person sending the email to confirm that he or she is 18 years of age or older—or has a parent’s or guardian’s permission to send an email to us. We use the personally identifiable information provided in the email message (such as email address and name) solely to respond to the specific comments or questions submitted. Career Girls does not keep these email addresses or other personally identifiable information on file.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

Career Girls may conduct website analytics to improve our Career Girls services. We do not use web cookies to track who is using our website. We cannot identify you personally with the website analytics data we collect.

Children’s Privacy

Career Girls is dedicated to providing a safe, secure and enjoyable online experience for children who visit our CareerGirls.org website.

CareerGirls.org does not have a chat room because this type of virtual interactivity, where adults unknown to you could talk to your child, can pose a potential hazard for children. We encourage parents to regularly monitor their children’s online activities—in keeping with the principle regarding web pages targeted to children under 13 put forth by the Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Better Business Bureau.

We do not collect or keep anyone’s personally identifiable information. On our Contact Us page, we ask the person sending us an email to confirm that he or she is 18 years of age or older, or has a parent’s or guardian’s permission to send an email to Career Girls. When a visitor to our website emails us through our Contact Us page, we use the information received, such as name and email address, only to respond to that person’s particular question or comment. We do not collect, keep, share or sell email addresses or any other personal information.

We Never Sell or Advertise on CareerGirls.org

We do not sell anything on CareerGirls.org. We do not advertise on CareerGirls.org. In addition, if you voluntarily provide information to us online via an email, we do not store that information, and we do not share or sell that information to any third parties.

Links to Other Websites

CareerGirls.org links to other websites that are not maintained by Career Girls. Each of these websites has its own privacy policy. We suggest you review these privacy policies before visiting these sites. We do not have any responsibility for linked websites. We provide these links to enable our visitors to access our Career Girls video clips, photos and other materials.
