PhET’s Progress on iPad Compatibility

We’ve been busy working on making our simulations iPad compatible. We hope to have a number of them ready over the summer so they will be available for the 2013-2014 school year, including Build an Atom, Concentration, and Ohm’s Law.

Right now user donations are our key source of funding towards converting simulations to HTML5 and bringing them to iPad and Android tablets.

So please consider donating today. And, thank you to those of you who have already donated. Your support will help keep our work funded through the summer.

I have an Archos 101 tablet.
The operating system is Android 2 (Froyo).
    And 20 phET animations
    are running on it.
    How is this possibe?

    • The simulations at are Flash will work on may tablets. The Java simulations typically do not work. We are working to convert our simulations to HTML5. Many will be out for the 2013-2014 school year.

  3. Ipads and Tablets could very well revolutionize, the way we did things. Good move.

Any update on phet simulations ready for 2013/2014 academic year? Is there any lists of apps that you are moving first? Thanks

    • Look for an announcement in the next few days!

What’s the news! Is there a list of iPad friendly PhET sims? Can’t wait!

  5. I am a science teacher at a school that has gone 1-1 with iPads. Now that my students can use these on an iPad is a true game changer. Please keep converting more of your simulations to iPads. I will be supporting you financially….as your team make learning science so much more fun!!

    • Thank you so much for your words of encouragement as well as your support!
