Pulmonologist
Watch Dr. Vickie Shannon, M.D., Professor, Department of Pulmonary Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center, discuss her educational journey beginning with her double majors at Smith College and then returning home to St. Louis, MO to attend Washington University Medical School. Dr. Shannon was one of the first African-Americans to be promoted to full professor at MD Anderson. In addition to her work with patients, Dr. Shannon is a King Foundation Mentor and works with high school students every summer. She also pays special tribute to the impact her Mother has had on her success in both her personal life and in her career.
