Mars Rover Engineer
Watch Mallory Lefland, Mars Rover Systems Engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, share how a favorite part of her job is creating and testing sequences to send to the rover, and then actually seeing the rover perform those actions on Mars. Mallory is currently working on the next Mars Rover Mission, which is set to launch in 2020. She is part of the team that is working on the communication between Rover and all of the instruments that will be used to conduct science experiments. She encourages girls to pursue math and science, and would love to see more women working in her field because they bring a much-needed perspective to the workplace.
